Failure to Scan During ProTools Startup​

Details​

During the ProTools startup plugin scan, you may encounter a failure with the HPL Processor and see the message: "The following plug-ins failed to load because they are not valid 64-bit AAX plug-ins." This issue has been confirmed to occur when using the following combination of OS and DAW versions:

  • macOS 13 Ventura and ProTools 2023.6

The development team believes that this problem does not occur with OS versions other than macOS 13 Ventura. We also believe that this issue does not occur under all conditions, even with the combination mentioned above.

Workaround​

Please update macOS and ProTools. We verified that there's no issue when using the following combination.

  • macOS 14 and ProTools 2024.6
